The Germiston Wheelers Cycle Club, established in 1984 by Graham Steyn and Colin Barret, is situated close to Germiston Lake (MR PORRA) and has been in existence for 30 years!
CHARITY WORK
Furthermore, Germiston Wheelers, along with the Germiston Rotary Club, organise the annual Carnival City Macsteel National Classic Cycle Race, which takes place on the 4th Sunday of February every year, with proceeds going to numerous charities in the Germiston/Alberton area.
RIDES
The club organises rides six days a week, departing from a number of areas. There are designated ride coordinators to ensure that the various training distances are catered for and that no rider, however inexperienced, is left behind.

- Please note:
- There are different categories of riders, so if you are really slow or really fast, you will be catered for.
- All members riding with the club on weekends are required to wear their club kit.
- It is highly recommended that you carry some form of identification and emergency contact details with you at all times when cycling.
- Helmets are compulsory on all club rides. No helmet – no ride!
