2014 marks the 30th ANNIVERSARY of Gauteng’s final summer classic, with the event taking place on Sunday, 23 February 2014. We are happy to announce that the Elite & U23 Men will once again be given the opportunity to race a “longer than average” distance. Although the route profile doesn’t allow for a very hilly route, the increased distance will once again be appreciated by all in the peloton. The increased distance involves riding two sections of the existing 103Km route twice, thereby utilising out existing marshal count and minimising traffic disruption to the local residents. The Vets 3039 and 40-49 age categories will also be riding an increased distance, following the Elite & U23 bunch for the first double loop.
